Direct-to-garment, or DTG, is a printing method that sprays the ink directly onto the garment. The ink then soaks into the fibers of the garment. It’s like printing on paper, but on clothing.

DTG printers offer a lot of color options which means you can print detailed designs and photorealistic images with almost no color limitations. For best results, we suggest creating graphics in the sRGB color profile—it matches DTG  printer color possibilities the best.

Printing graphics with transparencies or opaqueness does not translate well in DTG printing as the printers will attempt to make up the missing color by spreading the ink, causing the fabric to have a lot of gaps. We suggest designing with solid colors or using halftone techniques for best results.

Screen printing is a printing method where ink is pushed through a woven, mesh screen onto fabric. The ink doesn’t soak into the fabric, but lays on top of the product.

With screen printing, a special screen has to be made for each element of your design. Once that’s done, the colors and elements of the design are applied layer by layer onto the garment. The more layers your design has, the longer it’ll take to print it, and the thicker the design will feel on the product.

Screen printing works best for solid graphics without too many small details. This works well for simple typography, shapes, and other elements.

If you're design has few colors, screenprinting is the most cost-efficient for you, however, a minimum of 12 shirts are required for the order.

Both produce high quality prints, however, screenprinting would seem to create better edges and more vibrant solid colors as the ink goes directly onto the garment instead of soaking into it.

For large order with few colors, screenprinting is the go to option.

For order less than 12 prints, with lots of colors and details, DTG is the best option.

Embroidery refers to a design sewn onto garments and other items via our state of the art machinery, which automatically produces the design with a series of computed stitches.

Hats are normally customized via embroidery methods. However, it can be used for really anything to give a 3-D pop off the garment. It is a great addition for a more premium look.

Due to its more detailed nature, you'll need to contact us at create@primetimecolors.com to determine the amount of stitches required for the job. As shown on our Home Page, the amount of stitches will vary the price.

A digitization setup fee of $20 will be added for the purpose of getting your design converted and readable for the machine.

Screenprinting is done by separating every color that is in the design. Depending on the garment, this can be a bit tricky to count so if you make an order an incorrectly count your colors in submitted design, we will contact you. You can always contact us prior before ordering if you need help.

White shirts are easier to count. Just count how many colors are in the design --- you do not need to include white in the count as it will be a spot that just shows the shirt.

For dark garments, an underbase (counts as 1 color) is needed for the entire design. This is so that the design pops out well on the shirt---otherwise, colors will look faded. In this case, count all colors of the design (except black) and then add the additional underbase. That will be the total amount of colors on the print.

We can ship anywhere in the US! Unfortunately, we do not ship internationally at the moment.

On average, expect 7-10 business days of processing and printing of order. We typically order your garments especially for larger and specific orders. This will take some additional time for the garments to get into our hands for printing which can add up to 3-7 business days to the process.

We will charge an additional $60 rush fee for print jobs of quantities between 12-74. For order quantities 75+, we will need to invoice a rush fee based off percentage and garment availability. This will vary as certain warehouses holding certain garments will have different shipping prices and times.

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

To start a return, you can contact us at create@primetimecolors.com. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.
